BARTOSZ PAPROT - GUITAR
A graduate of the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where he completed his studies with honors in the guitar class of Professor Jan Paterek. He performs both solo and in chamber ensembles. He is the laureate of many guitar competitions. Among his greatest solo achievements is the first place at the International Guitar Competition "Premio Accademia" in Rome. He has also achieved success in competitions as a chamber musician, including third place at the International Chamber Music Competition in Vilnius. He has performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras, playing the Concierto de Aranjuez by J. Rodrigo, as well as the Double Concerto for Guitar and Bandoneon by Astor Piazzolla. In 2016, he recorded compositions by the Greek composer Dinos Constantinides for the American label CENTAUR with a chamber ensemble. He has extensive experience as a pedagogue, and his students have been systematically winning awards and distinctions at national and international guitar competitions for years. In 2023, he released a solo album of guitar music titled "Guitar Impression & Flashback – Tribute to Professor Jan Paterek" in honor of the late Professor Jan Paterek. On November 22, 2023, he received the degree of Doctor of Arts in the discipline of musical arts. The supervisor of his doctoral dissertation, "Musical Phrase as a Means of Shaping Artistic Expression Based on Selected Works of Aleksander Tansman," was Professor Maciej Staszewski of the Academy of Music in Łódź. The album with works by Aleksander Tansman has not yet been released and is owned by the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź.
